Discovering Behaviors and Motivations
I had the privilege of working closely with UX Researchers, project managers, and the executive stakeholder to discover health care professionals and individuals behavior by building personas and user goals.
Leading the design discussion to define the behavior and motivation of health care professional and individuals with the UX Researcher, project manager and executive stakeholder by conducting user interviews, building personas, and building user goals.
The Design
I led a multifunctional team of product designers, UX/UI Designers, software engineers, product managers, and UX Researchers to translate design concepts, personas, and behaviors into an accessible website for individuals and health care professionals to research alternative methods to manage their mental health.
Working with a design system helped the team to establish a consistent design for the website. Also, this made the design process of the website easy to collaborate with other designers to follow throughout the design process.
After conducting interviews with the executive stakeholder, I discovered that enough information needs to be provided regarding the programs that are offered to individuals with mental health issues. They want to encourage their friends and family to be aware of how the organization can assist others that are struggling with mental health. The staff stated that at events they are asked about volunteer opportunities and how can they attend the workshops. I included detail information regarding what programs are available and how other individuals can get involved with the organization.
Information is provided for each workshop for individuals and health care professionals to research what workshop is best for them. Each workshop is designed for assisting individuals with mental health issues to utilize different methods for managing their mental health.
I discovered that clients wanted to discuss their concerns regarding their mental health with a qualified staff member that would listen to their concerns that would give them advice on how to manage their mental health. Staff members preferred different methods for individuals to communicate with them and they enjoyed this method of engaging with staff members. They were aware that when verbally sharing information with staff members that others could hear their conversation and they no longer wanted to feel ashamed of their mental health issues. They were more comfortable with communicating with staff members by chatting and email. Their privacy is being violated when communicating with staff members through a in person meeting and communicating with staff members over the telephone.
After interviewing individuals, I discovered that they wanted the options for booking online for attending the workshops to learn more alternative methods for managing their mental health. Individuals wanted a safe space for them to discuss their mental health with others. By providing them with options for booking online attendance of the workshops increased.

The workshops reach their capacity each week that their is a waitlist for those who want to attend the workshops. Individuals are more willing to discuss the struggles with their own mental health and to share with others what they have experienced.
Volunteers
Individuals are encourage to volunteer their time to others that are struggling with mental health to address their struggles with mental health. Utilizing this method as an alternative to encouraging individuals that are struggling with mental health to discuss their concerns with another individual that doesn't suffer from mental health. Therefore, the number of volunteers has increased by 5%.

Individuals expressed a need for an online community and they wanted the opportunity to book online for workshops to learn more alternative methods for managing their mental health.
